Life has no other discipline to impose, if we could but realize it, than to accept life unquestionably. Everything we shut our eyes to, everything we run away from, everything we deny, denigrate or despise serves to defeat us in the end. What seems nasty, painful, evil, can become a source of beauty, joy, and strength, if faced with an open mind. Every moment is a golden one for him who has the vision to recognize it as such." Perhaps it seems glib for me to say this, but the one fact of life is that it is impermanent. The one mandate that we can make for ourselves is to live life for our own sake. You are your own strength, but don't be too afraid or proud to draw on the strength of others. You're not alone and there is much more that lies ahead.
